Designed by Angelo Venturoli in Medicina for Captain Pietro Mòdoni at the end of the 18th century, the project initially envisaged the construction of a building complex consisting of a central body and two lateral "barchesse" (rural service buildings), following Palladio's teachings that Venturoli was able to acquire during his stay in Veneto. The existing manor house shows differences from Venturoli's original architectural drawings, suggesting changes carried out by subsequent owners. Features of the original project include the pronaos with four Doric columns, while the main access staircase and side terraces have unfortunately been lost.
