On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8:00 PM, the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni will host the Biennial Year-End Concert and the Award Ceremony for the winners of the Zucchelli Competition 2021-2024. The event will formally recognize the young talents of the Conservatorio di Musica Giovan Battista Martini and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna.
Since 1963, the Zucchelli Foundation has supported new generations by awarding scholarships to the most deserving students of the Conservatorio and the Accademia in Bologna through the annual Zucchelli Competition. In 2023, the Foundation also launched the first edition of the Zucchelli Piano Prize, funded by Banca di Bologna. The concert on Saturday, December 14, will be an important occasion for the students of the Conservatorio di Musica, who will have the opportunity to showcase their musical skills outside the academic context, alongside fifty members of the Orchestra Senzaspine, conducted by Tommaso Ussardi. The orchestra, composed of musicians under 35, is mostly made up of graduates from the Conservatorio itself.
The evening will feature young musical talents, winners of the 2021 and 2022 editions of the Zucchelli Competition, as well as the winner of the first edition of the Zucchelli Piano Prize.
