An afternoon of chamber music at Villa Pini with Fanny Trio, consisting of Vanessa Scarano (clarinet), Silvia Vannucci (viola) and Sara Bacchini (piano).

The program combines classical and contemporary works.

The concert program includes: - W. A. Mozart: Kegelstatt Trio in E-flat major KV498 for clarinet, viola and piano - M. Mangani: Theme for clarinet and piano - R. Schumann: Adagio und Allegro op 70 for viola and piano - P. Marchettini: Serenata quasi uno Scherzo for clarinet, viola and piano.

The Fanny Trio is distinguished by its exploration of repertoire specific to this instrumental combination. The absence of the cello lends a unique timbre, allowing new musical nuances to be expressed. Mozart pioneered this formation, followed by composers such as Schumann, Reinecke, and Kurtag.

In addition, the trio invites contemporary composers, as Marchettini's work demonstrates. The concert highlights the expressive potential of the instruments, juxtaposing masterpieces of the tradition with modern works. This fusion of styles celebrates the richness of the repertoire and offers an immersive experience, inviting reflection on the connections between past and present in chamber music.
