The library, founded in 1982, has been housed since 2010 in a new building that also houses the Historical Archive. It was previously located at the City Hall and since 1994 at the building of the Istituto Comprensivo, built in 1950 as the first seat of the Primary School and later expanded to accommodate the Secondary School. In 2006 a loan point was also set up in the hamlet of Codrignano, then closed and then opened in Tossignano.
