its unique flavours, the Bolognese territory is never ceasing to please
everyone's appetite. Experience these food festivals with their incomparable savours
and get ready to taste delicious recipes that encapsulate the very essence of
autumn.
To kick off the host of gastronomic events the chestnut will be starring in several local food festivals as the autumn product par excellence. And what better occasion to taste its delicious recipes than the Sagra della Castagna in Granaglione on 1-3 November 2024 and the Castel del Rio Chestnut Festival from 6 to 27 October 2024.
On the other hand, if you wish to celebrate the exquisite
white truffle of the Colli Bolognesi, make sure you don't miss the
special edition of Tartufesta. A
great widespread food festival encompassing 11 different municipalities in the area
where visitors will be able to savour the typical scents and flavours of this
land. Another must-attend event in this respect is the international festival Tartoflà in
Savigno, 26 October to 17 November 2024.
Another great opportunity to rediscover the food, culture and traditions of the Bolognese lowlands is the Sowing Festival in Bentivoglio (BO). A day full of activities aimed at reviving ancient flavours through tastings, re-enactments, workshops and traditional markets of local products.
Also, in the splendid setting of the Castello dei Manzoli, whose origins date back to 1411, the 40th edition of the October Fair of San Martino in Soverzano, in Minerbio (BO), will be held from 5 to 6 October 2024. Here you will find the historical re-enactment of the patrol of men-at-arms of the Compagnia di S. Giacomo Maggiore of Bologna, food, activities, crafts, and much more.
