February 13rd, 2018 - Renovation works will start at the Collezioni Comunali d'Arte of Bologna

At the same time of the partial reconstruction of the rooftop of Palazzo d’Accursio, from Feb. 12 to Mar. 12, 2018 the Collezioni Comunali d’Arte will not be open to the public to ensure the ceiling installation in some exhibition halls.

In order to make sure that the public makes the best use of the rich collections of Collezioni Comunali d’Arte even during the construction period, over 150 works will be moved to a new exhibition itinerary enriched by some museum loans and by paintings and sculptures from their deposit.

The new collection, as a result, proposes a temporary exhibition that will be open to the public from March 16 to July 15. The works will be temporarily on display in Sala Urbana and in 3 adjoining halls to Collezioni Comunali that connect to Sala Farnese.

During construction period, Sala Farnese and Cappella Farnese remain regularly visitable with free entry. The opening times are: until February 28, from Monday to Friday 9:00-18:30; Sunday 10:00-18:30; Saturday closed. From March 1, from Monday to Friday 10:00-18:30; Sunday 10:00-18:30; Saturday closed.
