The Palazzo dal Monte Gaudenzi is located in via Galliera and was built over the 16th century as commissioned by the architect Baldassare Peruzzi.
The building features a sophisticated Bologna Renaissance style, with an elegant loggia, Doric columns, porticoes, chalk decorations and works of art by Gaetano Gandolfi and Serafino Barozzi. Over the centuries the building passed into the hands of various owners until Professor Augusto Gaudenzi donated it to the Bologna University for study and research into the history of law.
