Bologna
Casa Isolani is one of the rare examples of the civil constructions of the 13th century. It is characterized by the presence of a portico (arcade) supported by very tall oak beams (9 metres in height) on which the third floor rests. In the façade, single-lancet window, the mullioned windows and the arches of the shops were restored during the 20th century restorations. In the interior, the Rolli brothers were the authors of a Trionfo di Felsina (Triumph of Felsina) and that of the Isolani family. The gallery is evocative (Corte Isolani), and connects a succession of internal courts between Casa Isolani in Strada Maggiore and Palazzo Isolani in Piazza S. Stefano.
