The "Felsina" Astronomical Observatory is located in Cà Antinori in the Municipality of Monte San Pietro, between Medelana and Montepastore, in a strategic position which dominates the entire middle of the Bolognese Apennines: towards the east you can see the dome of the Astronomical Observatory of Loiano, while to the south the large propellers of the Monte Galletto wind farm are visible and the view sweeps up to the peaks of Corno alle Scale. A privileged position for observing the sky, research activities and the practice of astrophotography.
The Observatory was inaugurated on 19 June 1999 and is managed by the Associazione Astrofili Bolognesi which open it to the public according to an annual calendar, in particular in the summer to show adults and children the wonders of the sky.
