Piazza San Martino

Piazza San Martino is divided into three areas: two openings, which, respectively, overlook via Valdonica and via Marsala, and the open space representing the churchyard of the church of San Martino.

In the churchyard stands the statue of the Madonna del Carmine  by Andrea Ferreri (1705) and, at the level of the pavement, a hatch hides a steep flight of steps leading to the underground riverbed of the Aposa stream (torrente Aposa), currently inaccessible.
