At the start of via Rizzoli, there is a rare example of Liberty and Art Deco in Bologna: the Fontana family jewellers with a long tradition as goldsmiths. The shop is located in palazzo Ronzani, built on the site of the demolished Middle Market, and designed by Walter Pontoni. The original glassware, fittings, and chandeliers – from the original Goselli Perfumery - all made in 1914 to the designs of the architect Paolo Sironi, can still be found, fully preserved, in the present shop, which offers exclusive makes of watches and jewellery.
