Corno alle Scale is not only a mountain part of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, but also a renowned ski resort.
Located within the Lizzano in Belvedere municipality, the resort presents itself as a large natural amphitheatre that extends from the 1945 metres asl of Corno alle Scale as far as the enchanting Lake Scaffaiolo. The Regional Park confirms the naturalistic importance of the area, especially thanks to the interesting geological and mineralogical areas and to the lush flora and fauna making it an ideal destination not only for skiing enthusiasts, but also for the many excursionists who love hiking or cycling in the fresh air.
A favourite also of Bologna champion Alberto Tomba when training, the resort features 17 slopes, an area equipped for snowboard lovers and two circuits for cross-country skiing, one for beginners and another for experts.
At the winter resort of Corno alle Scale there are adapted ski equipment dedicated to people with physical and cognitive disabilities (dual and monoski); are available to rent at the SkySystem Ski Hire of Armando Carpani, ski instructor and guide for people with disabilities on the snow.
