The Freedom Memorial Museum was founded in 2000 by Edo Ansaloni, who as a teenager photographed scenes of the War and the Liberation of Bologna with his camera.
The museum consists of a fleet of vehicles, with means of transportation used during World War II (among them, an original Sherman tank); a photographic exhibition of great national reference; a memorial consisting of five key reconstructed scenes from the War with sound effects (such as the bombing or Radio London broadcasts); and an original deported train inside which one can board and in which war-themed photographic exhibits are sometimes set up.
