Bologna
Since 1967 the Forni Gallery of Bologna has been a reference point for the lovers of painting and figurative sculpture. However, the more than three hundred exhibitions organized during its long activity included also exhibitions of great abstract artists. Over the years two more galleries abroad were added to the gallery in Bologna, first in Amsterdam, a gallery that was active between the Seventies and the Eighties, and then in Tokyo (until 1990). In the meantime the work had increased and it was necessary to find new spaces in Bologna, that were opened in 1989 in via Lenzi, before the enlargement of the main office took place. The enlargement was made possible in April 1997, when new rooms were inaugurated, thanks to the renovation of a medieval palace, the rooms were connected to the pre-existing ones through an internal courtyard, overall there were more than 1,000 square meters of exhibition space, and it was possible to organize personal exhibitions and at the same time to exhibit the works of artists Paola Forni has the exclusive for.
