Description
The City Pilgrimage itinerary has been conceived on the occasion of the Jubilee Year 2025.
This journey, suitable for pilgrims and tourists, includes six of the main places of worship in the historical centre of Bologna and the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, while shedding light on their main historical, artistic and spiritual facets.
The churches on the itinerary are: the Basilica of Saints Bartholomew and Gaetano, the Church of Saints Vitale and Agricola, the Complex of Santo Stefano, the Basilica of San Petronio, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Vita, and St Peter's Cathedral, along with the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, the final stop on the Pilgrimage.
You can choose between two types of visit:
- Guided Tour
Join our professional tourist guide! The City Pilgrimage is designed not only as a ‘classic’ guided tour, but as a cultural and spiritual experience of conscious rediscovery of the beauty and profound significance of the city's heritage.
The itinerary in the historical centre is divided into two parts (three churches in the morning and three churches in the afternoon), plus a guided visit to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of St. Luke.
Choose whether to book the visit for the whole day (and thus visit all the churches in the historical centre in one day) or to participate only in the morning or afternoon visit.
