In March, at Locomotiv, we celebrate twenty years of Socialismo Tascabile: Offlaga Disco Pax, we can't wait!
Offlaga Disco Pax is a neosensibilist collective formed in the odd year 2003, consisting of Enrico Fontanelli (bass, electronics, graphic premeditations, weak thought), Daniele Carretti (guitars, bass, piano, and five-year mortgage), and Max Collini (vocals, lyrics, low-intensity ideology). Despite a metropolitan legend placing them in nearby Cavriago, the ODP members are all actually from Reggio Emilia. The trio quickly became known for their sound, which blends analog electronics with bass and guitars, accompanied by lyrics in Italian that are spoken rather than sung in a traditional way. Their narratives are often autobiographical, with a focus on identity, both territorial and ideological.
Offlaga Disco Pax disbanded in the spring of 2014 after the untimely death of Enrico Fontanelli on April 4 of that year. To celebrate twenty years since the release of their debut album Socialismo tascabile (prove tecniche di trasmissione), Max Collini and Daniele Carretti decided to reform the group for a tour. They will be joined on stage by Mattia Ferrarini, a multi-instrumentalist from Reggio Emilia who has had significant experience with some of the most important bands from their city and was chosen for his artistic sensibility, which closely matches that of ODP.
