The historical re-enactment for 2024, entitled
"Women travellers in the shadow of the porticoes. Facts and events in
Bologna in the 19th century" is organized by the 8cento APS association in
collaboration with the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento - Certosa di Bologna
and the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento - Bologna
Committee.
In the nineteenth century, travel was
fundamental to education and the discovery of new cultures, languages and
traditions. Bologna, with its rich history, academic tradition and porticoes,
was a popular destination for female travellers of the time.
The re-enactment will offer an extensive program of events, open to all citizens free of charge.
