The exhibition, set up until 12 January 2025 in the halls of the permanent collection of the Music Museum, recounts the ‘adventures’ of Guglielmo Marconi , starting with the launch of the first transoceanic signal between Great Britain and Canada in 1901 and the establishment of the first companies around the world for the production of the first transmitting and receiving units.
Inventor of wireless telecommunications, pioneer of radio, enlightened entrepreneur who influenced both communication and music, this exhibition also explores the birth of Marconi's Velvet Tone discs, Marconi's contribution to the birth of BBC British Broadcasting, through to the establishment of EIAR Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche and the first broadcasting of Vatican Radio.
