Updated on 24 October 2022 From Bologna Welcome

On 31 October, Bologna is getting ready to celebrate Halloween with a series of unmissable events for young and old. The city will be dressed up as a stage for trick-or-treating and spooky atmospheres, offering unforgettable moments to be enjoyed together.

Here are some of the most exciting initiatives in store for you

For the youngest

Grand Tour Italia: Halloween Magic

From 12 to 31 October, Grand Tour Italia will be inviting everyone to a creative and fun-filled Halloween. Children will be able to collect delicious candy and carve pumpkins, while the bravest will venture into the terrifying Horror Trail with chills and adventures to tell. There will be no shortage of zombie make-up, allowing children to shape up into creepy creatures.

The highlight of the programme will be the Zombie Walk on 31 October at 9 p.m., a monstrous and frightening zombie parade sweeping through the park, accompanied by a selection of family-friendly horror films to complete this chilling experience!

Halloween parties in the neighbourhood

Some of Bologna's Case di Quartiere will be offering special events to celebrate Halloween:

  • The Casa di Quartiere Katia Bertasi, on 31 October, will be transformed into a party venue, with dancing, singing and animated readings. Children will be involved in creative workshops, thanks to the animation of Fantateatro and other artists.
  • The Pilastro District will be hosting its own widespread festival, with readings and witch hunts for the little ones.
  • Casa del Gufo will be hosting an event on 27 October, with animated readings, a witch hunt and creative workshops
At Luna Farm Park: The Ghostbusters

From 5 October to 3 November, Luna Farm is looking forward to welcoming you with its packed Ghostbusters-themed programme. Children will be able to experience exciting adventures through a dedicated trail, with make-up tricks and terrifying shows scheduled for 31 October. A perfect proposal for families wishing to have fun together!

Shows and Workshops: Theatre and Science

For young theatre enthusiasts, the Dehon Theatre will be presenting ‘The Canterville Ghost’ on 31 October, a fun and engaging play for families.

Science buffs, on the other hand, can join the Halloween Workshop - Physics Experience, where creativity and science come together in an explosive mix of chilling experiments, magic potions and imaginative pumpkin carving.

For grown-ups

Unipol Arena: Random party

Looking for a more energetic event? On 31 October the Unipol Arena will be hosting Italy's biggest HALLOWEEN party. In keeping with the classic Random concept, there is only one rule: dress up randomly! A perfect occasion to celebrate Halloween with your friends!

Dumbo: Halloween Night

Are we in Bologna or Mexico? At Dumbo the boundaries will be blurring as it hosts the exclusive Dia de Muertos party on 31 October, an event that promises to keep attendees dancing and entertained until late at night. Various DJ sets and live music will make this night a must-attend for those looking for a spooky and fun way to celebrate Halloween.

For everyone!
