Davis Cup in Bologna

The Davis Cup is coming to Bologna! In the wake of last year's success, Bologna prepared to host the Davis Cup once again, the world's oldest sporting competition for national teams. 

From 10 to 15 September, great tennis will be on stage at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, where the Italian national team will be facing Holland, Brazil and Belgium.


Italy team (without the main stars Sinner and Musetti) will take centre stage as they try to get the pass to the Malaga Finals. After the great results and outstanding individual performances, Italy's top-ranked players are ready for a new goal.

Italy's group schedule at the Unipol Arena:

  • Tuesday 10 September, 3 pm: Holland-Belgium;
  • Wednesday September 11, 3:00 pm: ITALY-Brazil;
  • Thursday, September 12, 3:00 pm: Holland-Brazil;
  • Friday September 13, 3 p.m.: ITALY-Belgium;
  • Saturday, 14 September, 3 pm: Belgium-Brazil;
  • Sunday 15 September, 3pm: ITALY-Holland.

From Monday 2 September, the coveted trophy will be on display in the antechamber of the Sala Rossa in Palazzo d'Accursio until Thursday 5 September. Visiting hours are from 8 am to 6.30 pm.

Bologna will officially welcome the four competing national teams - Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Brazil - on Sunday 8 September: the champions and their staff will attend the opening ceremony of the competition scheduled from 8 to 10 p.m. at Palazzo Re Enzo. All fans will be able to greet the tennis champions, who from 7 to 8 p.m. will parade on the 'red carpet' that will cross Piazza Nettuno.


Concurrently with the games to be held at Unipol Arena, a series of parallel events will be organized in the city. Updates regarding activities in the city will follow.
