The Residence Carducci expands over a series of buildings that go from via Broccaindosso to the parallel alley of Vicolo Borchetta. The facility was created in 2010 and offers apartments with high ceilings (some of which are decorated with frescoes) and an enchanting terrace immersed in the Bologna’s roofs where you can enjoy a rare quiet. The hotel is large and has a reception, an expansive garage and a laundry room. In spite of the dimensions of the building, all the apartments offer total privacy. Every apartment pays homage to the poet Carducci’s work; it is equipped with every amenity and decorated with subtle and neutral colors. Via Broccaindosso, once the house of Carducci, is also one of the most typical streets of Bologna’s historic centre with its colorful porticos and its old traditional restaurants. That is why it is often referred to as the street of good food. This hotel is in the heart of the “San Vitale” area and, a few steps away, there are numerous sites to visit. Chief among them, there is the cathedral of Santa Maria dei Servi with its famous squared portico. Along the adjacent Strada Maggiore, there are two interesting museums, the “Museo Civico di Arte Industriale Davia Bargellini” (the museum of industrial art, located on the ground floor of the prestigious building “Palazzo dei Bargellini”) and the “Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica” (the international museum and library of music). For those who love paintings, on the nearby via Fondazza there is the museum “Casa Museo” of the celebrated Bolognese painter Giorgio Morandi and, in the University District, the “Pinacoteca Nazionale”, where works by Giotto, Raphael, and the Carracci are displayed.
